*"This gem of a book brings together the wisdom of poets, preachers, prophets and pilgrims, always taking us on the right direction on the lonely way back home, to the present moment, this wonderful moment. While others speak about the power of now, this book provides a practical daily journey to our present home where we've been all along. Please savor every line of wisdom the book provides."

*"Richard A. Singer, Jr. has studied Eastern Psychology, Buddhist Healing, and Non-Violence at the Doctoral Level, credentials which should raise the eyebrow of interest in this newest of his books NOW. Singer has mastered the art of communication simply by confronting his readers with his warm but demanding command of 'do it now'. NOW means living in the moment and to drawn attention to his thoughts he shares the words of great people of the past: each page of Part I begins with a quote from such thinkers as the Dalai Lama ('Life equals this moment and nothing more'), Paulo Coelho, Gandhi ('Live as if you were to die tomorrow'), Buddha, Henry and William James, Anne Frank, Thoreau ('Life is frittered away by detail...simplify, simplify'), and Goethe ('Few people have the imagination for reality.'): each quote is expanded by Singer and then each thought is followed by how to 'Do it Now'. Part II of this treasurable fount of knowledge follows with Real life stories of living in the now - articles and essays and conversational communications of how Singer's philosophy has been shown to work. A Great Read, this, and one the reader will return to very frequently!"

*"Most authors who write about spirituality encourage their readers to live in the "Now".  While this is not a new message, it is one that most of us need to hear over and over again. A current trend is for some authors to indulge in rhetoric and intellectual gymnastics as they try to get their message across.  Happily Richard A. Singer Jr. does not fit into this category.  Instead, with his new release Now: Embracing the Present Moment, Singer showcases 99 brief present centered meditations, as well as compelling articles by real people who have discovered varied ways to live in and enjoy the present moment.  Anyone who is seeking down-to-earth inspiration will find it in this compelling and accessible book.

*"Richard manages to bring the Now to us in easy, practical, enjoyable bite size tasty 'moment-ary' morsels. I found myself melting into the quotes and stories on each page."

*"Richard Singer's new book 'Now' reminds us that every breath we take is just as important as that first one we took at birth. Somehow as busy human beings we forget that, and as we all know, that ripple affect takes hold.  Filled with personal stories from fascinating contributors, easy to follow reflections and exercises, 'Now' gives us the power back that we deserve, so we can embrace every moment and live a life that's vibrant, aware, happy and brimming with love."

*"If it is possible to teach embracing the present moment, Singer (Your Daily Walk with the Great Minds) has made it that much easier with this collection of "living in the now" quotes gathered from wise teachers throughout the ages. Each saying is followed with a brief and reflective commentary on the message, then followed with compassionate "Do It Now" exercises and inspirations that further engage the reader. "My books are not only for reading, they are meant to be lived," writes Singer, who describes himself as a lifelong seeker of truth and recorded wisdom. To model living in the now, the second part of the book features stirring essays from diverse contributors describing their daily practice of present-centered mindfulness. The person who reads one reflection each day from this well-conceived book is almost certain to find him or herself entering into a deeper--and possibly transformative--practice of appreciation for the wonder of life each moment offers. "

*Living in the now is as much about gratitude as it is about mindfulness and this theme is repeated throughout Now: Embracing the Present Moment. The first section of the book is full of quotations, which follow with not only an expansion on the wisdom of the quote, but also a present and centered meditation to integrate that knowledge. The second section of the book contains essays from various contributors with vastly different experiences and catalysts for beginning to live in the now. I also love that Rick addresses the paradox of planning and goal setting while remaining in the now. The longevity and relevance of the quotes are testament to what many have tried to teach us for decades and I highly recommend this as a daily meditative exercise to strengthen this wisdom.

There are so many books that bring us excellent information on dealing with life and its challenges. Only occasionally is there a book that becomes a “tool of life” that you want to use daily. This book by Richard A. Singer Jr. is exactly that.  Richard has taken the wisdom from various poets, prophets and world teachers and presented them with inspiring, understandable and to the point NOW life lessons and tools to use NOW, everyday, for a bette runderstanding and living of life. It will support and motivate a person to live every moment to their best.  Not only did I thoroughly enjoy reading this book, but also I wasincreasingly inspired and excited to continue reading. He broughtclarity, new meaning and depth to so many quotes that we readand use in our lives. Richard includes amazing stories, sayings and quotes new to me, which I have already shared with many people I know. NOW is a book that everyone should read and reference daily. I do. It has become a “Live Life Now Bible” in my world. Incorporate this book into your daily routine, perhaps priorto your meditation or yoga and stop thinking of the past or worrying about the future and make today the best you can.It is easier to change the color of one brick in your path daily to achieve the color that you want of the entire path.
